QR Asset Tagging

A client progress page and site-work view for tagging and sign-off by level, core and category, checked hourly for new model exports.

The tool itself.

The QR tagging progress site, running on invented data.

What you do with it.

What the tool is for, in the order the work happens.

  1. See tagging progress by core and level

The QR programme reports itself. QR Asset Tagging reads each new model export, matches tags to assets, and shows what is tagged, what is signed off and which tags point at assets that have left the model.

  2. Find the tags whose asset has left the model

Every new export is reconciled against the tags already issued. A tag that no longer points at an asset in the model is listed as an orphan, by core, instead of sitting inside the percentage complete.

  3. Give the client and the site team the same position

The client reads a progress page: the verdict, the completion trend, and the position by level and core. The field team reads that same position in a site-work view built for a phone on site.

How it works.

The cloud job finds new model exports, reconciles the tags, calculates progress, and publishes the client and site views.

  1. Cloud check
    • Look for changed model exports
    • Run without one site machine
  2. Reconcile
    • Match tags to assets
    • Find tags without an asset
  3. Calculate
    • Tagging by level and core
    • Sign-off by category
  4. Publish
    • Client progress page
    • Site-work view
